Founders note.

The mess is where the good stuff is.

For the past 10 years, I did the agency thing. Someone on LinkedIn described it as the 'private school of design' (just incase you're unsure of the vibe). I worked on global brands, elbowed my way into big pitches, and played the rat race that is the London design scene. It’s chaotic, competitive, and, if I’m honest, so painfully slow that by the time something hits the shelves, it’s already lost its spark.

Then in 2022, life knocked me sideways. I won’t go into all the messy details, but it rhymes with two of Santa’s reindeers. A bit of time off, two stoma bags, and a lot of therapy later, I was left with one thing: clarity.

Life is stupid, silly, and short. And we spend a f* ton of it working. So I made a decision: I had to find joy in what I do again.

For the underdogs.

For the underdogs.

I still love design. I just changed the audience. Now I work with the the self-starters, the misfits, the first-time founders doing things without safety nets or sign-off meetings.

The ones building something bold because they have to. Because they’ve seen the gap, felt the frustration, and decided to create something better. And I have so much respect for that, because I’ve been there too.

I've gone from steady sally to starving artist. That leap doesn’t make you reckless. It makes you brave and it makes your brand more meaningful because it comes from something real.

Why am I telling you this?

Why am I telling you this?

You might be wondering, why is she telling me her life story? It's simple: the best brands are built on truth. The raw stuff. The messy stuff. The 'this is why I give a shit' stuff.

I’ve always been a good reader of people, not in a small talk kind of way, but in the way that gets to the core of what someone’s really about. Now that’s the firepower I bring to brand design. I can spot the thing that makes you tick, the bit you’ve maybe been too close to see.

Because when a brand is built from the truth, everything else falls into place. The strategy, the story, the visuals, the voice. People feel it and they trust it. And that’s how you build something that lasts.
